The Foundation is pleased to announce the return of the Redwood Premium in addition to our long standing Teacher and Site grants (Site grants will be awarded early next semester).  The words in red are new guidelines or instructions for this year.  The deadline is in 2 weeks!

In the interest of your time and to reach out to more of you, we are holding this year's MPSEF grant writing seminar "via email".  No meeting, just good information sent right to your inbox.

As always, all information and even more details are available on our web site at www.mpsef.com.

Don't miss this opportunity to enhance your curriculum!

  • Does this project enhance the learning process? 30%
  • To what level does this project meet the goals of the Foundation? 30%
  • How many students will this benefit? 10%

New this year!

If your grant request has a technology component (for example: computers, software, digital media or other computer related materials), approval from the director of Technology is required before submitting your grant request to the Foundation. Please attach a TECHNOLOGY CONSENT FORM signed by the director of Technology to your grant application if applicable.

Guidelines for the Redwood Premium

  • $1500 to $3000 requests
  • One entry per teacher.
  • One name on each entry.
  • This premium is intended for one teacher with a specific idea that will enhance his/her curriculum needs.
  • The MPSEF board will approve the entry as acceptable to be placed in the pool of entries.
  • At the MHS Homecoming football game, one Premium will be randomly drawn and awarded.
  • Must be present to win.

Clarification for this year.  If you submitted a Redwood Premium Grant in the past, were approved and entered in the drawing (each school's Principal is aware of the approvals), you may repeat the submission.  No need to think of another idea, just resubmit!

Be Aware!

  • Application must be complete
  • The amount requested on Page 1 and Page 2 MUST match.
  • No late applications will be accepted.
  • Incomplete or unqualified grants will not be considered.
  • This is not intended as an additional site grant. Grants written as such, may not be approved for acceptance in the drawing.
